This is another recipe that my mom used to make. So good, but has lots of butter and cheese ... but I guess that is what makes it so good!!

Add to Grocery List

1 c
grits cooked as directed
1 stick
1/2 c
ny sharp cheddar cheese, grated
optional: 2 tsp. tabasco

How to Make Baked Cheese Grits

  • 1Add all ingredients to hot grits. Allow butter to melt and mix all together well. Stir quickly, as you do not want eggs to cook as they sit on hot grits.
  • 2Pour in greased casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until firm.
  • 3Serve hot and Enjoy!
  • 4Any leftover cheese grits (yeah, right!) can be stored in refrigerator in a block shaped container and sliced and fried the next day. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
