Wherever I take these baked beans, they always get praised and the pan comes home empty.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    bacon, cooked till crisp
  • 64 oz
    pork and beans, canned
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    liquid smoke
  • 3/4 c
    hot bbq sauce (kraft)
  • 1/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1/4 c
    sorghum
  • 1 lb
    smoked sausage, (hillshire farms)
  • 1 Tbsp
    prepared mustard

How to Make Baked Beans-Family Favorite

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook bacon till crisp and remove from pan. Crumble bacon and set aside. Then slice smoked sausage into rounds and brown in skillet and remove from pan.
  2. Mix all the rest of the ingredients in large bowl. Then add the bacon and sausage. Pour into small roaster or large baking dish.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
