Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans baked beans (28 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- - salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
How To Make baked beans

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2In a large ovenproof skillet, fry the bacon until crispy. Using a slotted spoon, move it to paper towels to drain. Leave 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet and discard the rest.

Step 3Add the onions and cook over medium-low heat until soft. Reduce the heat to low and add the garlic. Cook for 1 minute while stirring.

Step 4Add the beans, ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, mustard, and smoked paprika. Stir to combine and simmer over low heat for a few minutes. Taste the beans and season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.

Step 5Stir the bacon into the beans and place the skillet in the oven. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
