For In N Out Burger fans,i create this recipe it on potato salad,it was based on Animal Style Fries from In N Out's secret menu,it perfect with fried chicken,baked pork chops,prime rib and roasted turkey,i create a new signature sauce with honey mustard,italian dressing and jalapeno relish.I wish In N Out came to louisiana?

    red potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1
    vidalia onion,peeled and diced
  • 3/4 c
    light packed brown sugar
  • 1 3/4 c
    cubed process american cheese
  • 1 c
    crumbled cooked bacon

  • 1 c
  • 3/4 c
  • 1
    packet dry onion soup mix
  • 3 Tbsp
    jalapeno relish
  • 3/4 c
    honey mustard
  • 1 tsp
    italian dressing

How to Make Animal Style Potato Salad ?


  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  2. Add whole potatoes,and cook until tender,15 to 20 minutes.Drain,run under cold water to cool,chop into 1-inch cubes.Transfer to a large serving bowl,and refrigerate until completely chilled,about 2 hours.
  3. In a large skillet on medium-high heat,add margarine and diced onion,saute for 5 minutes,stir in brown sugar,caramelized for another 5 minutes until browned.
  4. For signature sauce;In a medium bowl combine mayonnaise,ketchup,dry onion soup mix,jalapeno relish,honey mustard and italian dressing,whish together until blend.Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  5. Add american cheese cubes,bacon crumbles and caramelized diced onions into the bowl of cooked potatoes,mix well.
  6. Pour signature sauce into potato mixture,stir together and serve.
