THIS RECIPE' IS SEMI-HOMEMADE CUZ I USE BUSH'S BAKED BEANS WITH ONIONS AND ADD MY SPECIAL TOUCH... THEY GO GOOD WITH BAR-B-QUES , CHICKEN NUGGETS, ETC....

Ingredients

family size bush's baked beans with onion
1-1 1/2 c
ketchup
1-2 Tbsp
mustard (french's)
1 c
sugar (white)
1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 large
onion (vadelia) diced and sauted in butter
2 Tbsp
butter, melted
1/2 tsp
red pepper optional
1 tsp
black pepper
1 Tbsp
onion powder
1 tsp
oregano, dried
2 tsp
chili powder

How to Make ANGELINE'S SEMI-HOMEMADE BAKED BEANS

Step-by-Step

  • 1dice 1 large onion (valdelia)
  • 2in saute' pan place 2 Tbs butter and 1 Tbs onion powder melt (this helps brown onions and gives more onin flavors)
  • 3after butter is melted and hot place diced onions in saute pan until golden brown, set aside
  • 4in 8x8 Baking pan Bush's Baked Beans and add remaining seasonings,ketchup,mustard,sugar's, and saute'd onions , stir well
  • 5bake at 350degrees for an hour to 1 and 1/2 hours
    sides of dish should be dark brown . but not burnt
