    green peppers, chopped

    onion, chopped

pork and beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    bbq sauce, thick and dark
  • ·
    chili powder (to taste)
  • ·
    salt and pepper

How to Make Ah-mazing Baked Beans

  1. Brown the ground beef, peppers and onion together. Drain the grease
  2. Drain and rinse the beans (get rid of that clear, nasty slimy stuff!!). Set aside. Mix ketchup, bbq sauce, brown sugar. Add in beans and ground beef mixture.
  3. Add chili powder, salt and pepper to taste. I usually use about 3/4 tsp chili powder and a little less pepper. Salt to your own preference, I don't always add it.
  4. Bake: 45 mins to 1 hour - 375 degrees
    Crockpot: high - 3 hours
    Crockpot: low - 6 hours
