Ingredients
- 7 large oranges
- 1/2 cup sangria
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel, grated
How To Make spanish poached oranges

Step 1Slice off ends of fruit. Using a sawing motion, peel in spiral. Remove membrane, leaving as much fruit as possible.

Step 2Hold fruit over bowl to catch juice. Cut to center between fruit segment and dividing membrane with sharp knife.

Step 3Place orange sections and juice in 1- to 1 1/2-qt. casserole.

Step 4Combine sangria and lemon peel. Pour over orange sections; cover.

Step 5Microwave at High 2 to 5 minutes, or until heated, stirring once or twice during cooking time.

Step 6Serve warm or cold.

Step 7NOTE: To make ahead, prepare early in day; refrigerate.
