Ingredients

round, seedless watermelon
1
chips
lime (for garnish)

FIRE AND ICE SALSA

3 c
seeded and chopped watermelon
1/2 c
green peppers (chopped)
2 Tbsp
lime juice
1 Tbsp
chopped cilantro
1 Tbsp
green onion (chopped)
1 to 2 Tbsp
jalapeno peppers (chopped)

How to Make Southwest Salsa Bowl

Step-by-Step

  • 1Choose round seedless watermelon.
    Wash watermelon and pat dry.
    Use dry erase marker to trace design around middle of watermelon.
    Use utility knife to carve design (copy design in photo).
  • 2Split watermelon in half, and use scoop to carve out flesh.
    Combine salsa ingredients; mix well and cover.
    Refrigerate 1 hour or more.
    Fill bowl with salsa ingredients
    Garnish with chips, jalapenos, cilantro and lime.
