- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 6 medium granny smith apples, peeled cored and sliced (see notes)
How To Make southern fried apples

Step 1In a large nonstick or cast iron skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, stirring continuously until the sugar is dissolved.
