Ingredients
- 2 pounds pears
- 1-1/2 pound apples
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup water
How To Make slow cooker pear applesauce

Step 1Spray a 4-quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2Peel, core, and slice the pears and apples. Add to prepared slow cooker.

Step 3Add brown sugar, cinnamon, apple pie spice, lemon juice, vanilla, and water to the slow cooker; stir gently to mix.

Step 4Cover and simmer on "high" setting for 3-1/2 hours.

Step 5When cooking time is complete, mash fruit to desired consistency. For chunkier sauce, use a potato masher. For a smoother consistency, blend with an immersion blender. Store in refrigerator.
