my favorite fruit salad
I have been making this recipe for over 40 years, and it is always a hit. Use 1/2 red and 1/2 Green maraschino cherries for a more colorful salad. At Easter time, I like to use the multi colored miniature marshmallows, too.

Ingredients
- 1 can pineapple tidbits, refrigerated
- 1 can mandarin oranges, refridgerated
- 1 jar maraschino cherries, refrigerated
- 1/2 cup cconut flakes (optional)
- 1 1/3 cups miniature marshmallows
- 16 ounces extra creamy whipped topping, thawed

Step 1Drain pineapple and oranges well; rinse and drain cherries; slice cherries in half.

Step 2Gently mix drained fruits together. Stir in coconut flakes and marshmallows.

Step 3Fold in whipped topping; refridgerate until well chilled.
