large granny smith apples (5 1/2 pounds)
1/4 c
orange juice
1 1/2 c
sugar
1 tsp
american spice vietnamese cinnamon (any cinnamon will be fine)

How to Make Crockpot Homemade Applesauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Peel, core, and cut apples into 1 1/2 inch chunks. Place in a large bowl. Toss apples with orange juice when adding to the bowl.
  • 2Toss with sugar and cinnamon.
  • 3Place apple mixture in a 6 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH 4 hours.
  • 4Stir and mash until desired consistency. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  • 5Makes approximately 8 cups.
