  • 12
    large granny smith apples (5 1/2 pounds)
  • 1/4 c
    orange juice
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 tsp
    american spice vietnamese cinnamon (any cinnamon will be fine)

How to Make Crockpot Homemade Applesauce


  1. Peel, core, and cut apples into 1 1/2 inch chunks. Place in a large bowl. Toss apples with orange juice when adding to the bowl.
  2. Toss with sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Place apple mixture in a 6 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH 4 hours.
  4. Stir and mash until desired consistency. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  5. Makes approximately 8 cups.
