I don't like Cranberry Sauce... but I love this! With the house smelling like cinnamon and cranberry's as it boils on the stove, gosh, makes me wish for the holidays! This is so easy you will NEVER purchase cranberry sauce again out of a can!

Ingredients
- 2 - granny smith apples, peeled, cored and diced
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries, washed and picked over (about 3 coups)
- 1/4 cup crystallized ginger - chopped small
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or 1 whole cinnamon stick)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
How To Make cranberry sauce with apples

Step 1Put all ingredients in medium saucepan. Bring to boil over high heat. Immediately turn heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. You will hear the cranberries pop. Transfer to bowl and let cool, then chill thoroughly before serving. Can be made several days ahead.
