This is my favorite cranberry recipe. Frequently there are no leftovers, but if there are, spread it over a block of cream cheese for a great appetizer.

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 package 12 ounce fresh cranberries
- 1 - orange, peeled, and chopped
- 1 - apple, peeled, cored and diced
- 1 - pear, peeled, cored and diced
- 1 cup dried fruit, chopped
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
How To Make cranberry sauce extraordinaire

Step 1In a medium saucepan, boil water and sugar until sugar dissolves. Reduce the heat to simmer.

Step 2Add cranberries, and all other ingredients.

Step 3Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
