Country Time Apples and Bacon
peeled, cored and thickly sliced apples
1Fry bacon in a skillet until crisp. Drain and reserve 2 tablespoons bacon grease. Add apples to the grease in the skillet; sprinkle with the sugar.
2Cover, let simmer until apples are tender. Remove lid, increase heat; fry apple slices until lightly browned. Serve with crumbles bacon on top
