Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup onion, diced
  • 2/3 cup celery, diced
  • 3 cups bread, cubed
  • 3 cups apples, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 5/8 teaspoon sage, ground
  • 5/8 teaspoon marjoram, ground
  • 5/8 teaspoon thyme, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup water

How To Make apple-pecan stuffing

  • Step 1
    Melt 1/4 cup butter in skillet.
  • Step 2
    Add onion and celery and cook until tender.
  • Step 3
    Add to bread.
  • Step 4
    Stir in apples.
  • Step 5
    Cook until golden.
  • Step 6
    Add apples to bread mixture.
  • Step 7
    Mix in salt, pepper, sage, marjoram, thyme, parsley and pecans.
  • Step 8
    Add water and mix thoroughly.
  • Step 9
    Makes enough for 10-pound turkey.
