I've never had chutney before but I think that this along with some of the others I'm gonna post would go great with anything you might make.

Ingredients
- 6 cups chopped and peeled apples
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup pitted chopped dates
- 1 cup minced onions
- 2 cloves garlic,minced
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 ounces preserved ginger,chopped
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 cups cider vinegar

Step 1Combine all the ingredients in a large stainless steel saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered until thickened, about 3 hours. Stir occasionally/

Step 2Pour into clean jars to within 1/2 inch of the top. Cap and process in a hot water bath for 5 minutes.
