1 cup onion (diced)

1 cup celery (diced)

1 cup green pepper (diced)

3 cloves garlic (chopped)

1 pound okra (trimmed and cut into 1/4 inch slices)

4 cups shrimp stock
•
1 (14 ounce) can whole tomatoes (chopped)
•
1 teaspoon paprika
•
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)

1 teaspoon oregano
•
1 teaspoon thyme
•
2 bay leaves
•
salt and pepper to taste
