russ's hamburger relish
This mouth-watering relish is a must have when eating hamburgers or hot dogs. Also a very good way to use up all those green tomates in the garden.

Ingredients
- 3 cups ground onions
- 4 cups ground green tomatoes
- 6 - ground sweet red peppers
- 4 cups ground green cabbage
- 12 - ground green peppers
- 1/2 cup canning salt
- 1 tablespoon celery seed
- 1 1/2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 4 cups cider vinegar
- 6 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons mustard seed
- 2 cups water
How To Make russ's hamburger relish

Step 1Using a food processor (course blade), grind up all the vegetables. In a large mixing bowl, combine and mix all the vegetables. Sprinkle with the canning salt, cover, and let stand overnight.

Step 2Drain and rinse vegetables. place in a large pot. Meanwhile, in another large sauce pan, combine all other ingredients and bring to boil.

Step 3Pour hot liquid over vegetables, mix gently. Heat to boiling point and simmer 5 minutes. Ladle into sterlized jars. Hot water bath (10 minutes)
