I cooked in a steak restaurant /bar & came across this recipe in a cookbook (I've modified it) & thought it would be good on the steaks. It was well received.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    crumbled bleu cheese
  • 1 c
    real butter, softened
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 3
    green onions, chopped fine
  • 6
    slices cooked bacon, crumbled

How to Make MY SPECIAL BLEU CHEESE BUTTER

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all with mixer, or by hand if necessary.
  2. Form into logs on plastic wrap. Wrap tightly & refrigerate for 2 hours or more before serving.
  3. This is good on top of steaks or as an appetizer on crackers or on fresh hot rolls.
  4. Note: I keep one log out in fridge & vacuum pack & freeze the others for future use.
