peach spread
This is so easy! Pretty much like how I make my applesauce, other than the addition of the tapioca. It's really good!

Makes 2 - 8 oz. jars
Ingredients
- 16 ounce - bag of frozen peaches
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon kraft minute tapioca
How To Make peach spread
-
Step 1Partially thaw peaches and dice into small pieces. Place in a large saucepan, add sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Mix together.
-
Step 2Bring to a simmer over low/ medium heat. Cover, stir occasionally, for about 20 minutes. Cook until they are nice and soft.
-
Step 3Remove from heat and mash a bit with a potato masher, and stir in the tapioca.
-
Step 4Reduce heat to low and place back on the stove and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes. Remove from heat, mash again, and cool to room temperature. The peach spread will thicken as it cools.
-
Step 5Store in the refrigerator. You will be spreading this on everything! It's that good! The extra jar will freeze well too! Enjoy!
