Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    29 oz. of pumpkin puree,( approx 3 1/2 cups)
  • 3/4 c
    apple juice
  • 2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1 1/3 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1
    juice of fresh lemon

How to Make OUR PUMPKIN BUTTER

Step-by-Step

  1. (1) COMBINE pumpkin,apple juice spices in a large saucepan;Stir well.Bring mixture to a boil.Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until thickened.
  2. STIR frequently .ADJUST spices to taste.STIR lemon juice,or more to taste.
  3. (2) Once cool, pumpkin butter can be kept into a hot,hot jar ,filling to within 1/4 inch from the top .
    REMOVE air bubble; wipe jar rims.Cover @ once with metal lids, and screw on bands.PROCESS in boiling water bath for about 10 minutes.
  4. TIP serve it with fresh hot bread yummmy,or make as gifts ,and make someone happy ,a gift from the heart. happycook diva. Thank you Chandra for sharing this recipe for our cookbook.
