Old Fashioned Sandwich Spread

Robin Wellhouse

My parents used to make this recipe when I was a kid. Perfect for making sandwiches prior to doing road trips, camping, or fishing trips. My in-laws made this a few years ago, bringing back fond memories.

How to Make Old Fashioned Sandwich Spread

  1. Grind the spam, eggs, and pickles together (or finely chop them by hand or in a food processor)
  2. Fold in the mayonnaise.
  3. Spread on the bread of your choice, or place a scoop on your salad. You can add onion or jalapeños. No additional salt, pepper, or other spices are necessary. But taste and add whatever you’d like. This is a very versatile recipe. Enjoy!
