jalapeno cheese spread
This is very good served with soft small bread slices.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
If you want a spread that will kick things up a notch in flavor, this jalapeno cheese spread is it. This dip is warm, creamy, and full of flavor. This isn't for the faint of heart, though. It has quite the kick to it. Adjust spice amounts to your liking. We served it with crackers but this appetizer would be great on warm French bread or even over grilled chicken.

Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 3/4 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 can green chiles (4 oz.)
- 1/2 can jalapeno peppers (sometimes I use the whole 4 oz. can)
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 6-8 dashes Tabasco hot sauce
How To Make jalapeno cheese spread
-
Step 1Mix the mayo, cream cheese cut into chunks, undrained chiles, Italian seasoning, and hot sauce.
-
Step 2Stir in mozzarella cheese and jalapenos.
-
Step 3Either heat on low in a saucepan to melt the ingredients. Or, use a mini Crock Pot on high for about an hour, stirring occasionally. I like using the mini Crock Pot.
-
Step 4Serve warm with soft bread wedges or crackers.
