Ingredients
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup hellman's mayo
- 1 teaspoon garlic fresh minced
- 1 teaspoon boetje's mustard or stone ground or dijon
- 1 1/2 tablespoons horseradish
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
How To Make horsey tartar sauce
-
Step 1Mix all ingredients well and serve.
-
Step 2Add a little more Mayo for more. Adjust the amount of Horseradish to "just a hint" or "over the top", if you like.
-
Step 3This even has the fish enjoying it.
-
Step 4Note: Boetje's Mustard, is a Quad City, Illinois thing at Route 80 and the banks of Ol' Miss. They've been bottling a stone ground mustard forever. Folks that move away call back to get some sent to them. Or make a trip back to acquire some, or order from the internet. You can use Stone Ground or Dijon.
