honey butter spread with strawberry variation
Since my Dad was a beekeeper we always had LOTS of honey and this simple spread for toast was a morning staple. Its good on biscuits and home made yeast rolls, too.

Ingredients
- HONEY BUTTER:
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- STRAWBERRY BUTTER VARIATION:
- - omit brown sugar
- 1 package (10 ounces) frozen strawberries, thawed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
How To Make honey butter spread with strawberry variation

Step 1Cream butter with a mixer until fluffy. Add honey in a fine stream. Blend in juice and brown sugar and mix until well blended. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 2STRAWBERRY BUTTER VARIATION: Omit brown sugar. Add 1 (10 ounce) package thawed frozen strawberries and 1 cup powdered sugar. Mix as above with mixer until nicely blended.
