I received this recipe from my local farmers market.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 to 1 1/2 - heaping tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - whole egg, plus 1 egg yolk
  • 4 dashes tabasco
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • - juice from 1 lemon

How To Make homemade mayonnaise

  • Step 1
    Combine first 5 ingredients in food processor or blender.
  • Step 2
    Blend for 45 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Gradually add oil with food processor on high until mixture thickens.
  • Step 4
    When thick, turn off.
  • Step 5
    Add lemon juice.
  • Step 6
    Mix well.
