I received this recipe from my local farmers market.

Yields 2 cups

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 to 1 1/2
    heaping tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp
  • 1
    whole egg, plus 1 egg yolk
  • 4 dash(es)
  • 1 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • ·
    juice from 1 lemon

How to Make Homemade Mayonnaise


  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in food processor or blender.
  2. Blend for 45 seconds to 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add oil with food processor on high until mixture thickens.
  4. When thick, turn off.
  5. Add lemon juice.
  6. Mix well.
