Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make homemade butter

  • Step 1
    pour cream and salt in food processor, blender or beat with a mixer and process for about 10 minutes or until the butter separates from the liquid, (I use a Kitchen aid mixer and it takes about 8 minutes on high speed)
  • Step 2
    strain off liquid, you can press the remaining liquid out using a spatula or place in cheese cloth and squeeze (this is what I do) pack into a small ramekin dish or other small bowl/container
  • Step 3
    **** You can leave out the salt or add to your taste, you can also add different spices, or honey, maple syrup, garlic, onion, the choices are endless
