My good friend brought this dip for brunch today,it is delicious! She served it with potato chips,I liked it better with vegetables because it was less salty. Really good!

Ingredients

  • - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • - 1 large onion,finely diced
  • - 1 teaspoon salt
  • - 1 garlic clove,minced
  • - 2 teaspoon worstershire sauce
  • - 1 1/4 c sour cream
  • - 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • - 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make lois's french onion dip

  • Step 1
    In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the onion and salt and cook, stirring often, until soft and caramelized, about 20 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the Worcestershire sauce and stir to scrape up the browned bits from the pan . Place the onion in a small bowl and let cool to room temperature. In a bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients. Add the onion. Cover and chill at least 30 minutes.
