Ingredients
- 1 & 1/2 pounds bologna
- 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar (optional)
- 1 & 1/4 cups mayonnaise or miracle whip
How To Make "fake" ham salad--southwestern pennsylvania style
-
Step 1I buy the Bologna from the deli and they cut it into 2 large pieces.
-
Step 2Using either a food grinder or processor, grind meat. If using a processor, use the blade and not the grater plate and be sure to use the pulse button until it is ground to your liking. Once ground, put in large mixing bowl.
-
Step 3Mix in your relish and cheese with large spoon. Add mayonnaise and mix well. Serve on any type of bread or use as a dip with crackers. Makes approximately 5-6 cups.
