We ate this on Mama's fresh homemade bread growing up in southwestern Pennsylvania. It is so good.

How to Make "Fake" Ham Salad--Southwestern Pennsylvania Style

  • 1I buy the Bologna from the deli and they cut it into 2 large pieces.
  • 2Using either a food grinder or processor, grind meat. If using a processor, use the blade and not the grater plate and be sure to use the pulse button until it is ground to your liking. Once ground, put in large mixing bowl.
  • 3Mix in your relish and cheese with large spoon. Add mayonnaise and mix well. Serve on any type of bread or use as a dip with crackers. Makes approximately 5-6 cups.
