This is the recipe my grandmother gave to me when I asked about her apple butter. I haven't actually made it yet as I'm the only one here that would eat it, so I'm not sure about the times.

2 (BIG) cans applesauce
1 cup sugar per each cup of apple sauce
- cinnamon, to taste
- allspice, to taste

How To Make easy apple butter

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Step 2

Pour apple sauce into a large dutch oven or baking dish. Bake until reduced by half.
Step 3

mix sugar and apple sauce together. Add cinnamon and allspice to taste.
Step 4

Cook until syrupy, will thicken as it stands.
