drunken pimento cheese

I love the combination of sharp cheddar and beer. While making a new pimento cheese recipe the other day ( and enjoying a cold one) I thought, "why not?" , and added a few splashes of my beer in place of the mayo. Turned out to be a great decision. Very tasty!

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese ( light is fine)
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise (light is fine)
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 jar pimentos, drained (sm jar)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 4 dashes texas pete hot sauce
  • 1/8 cup beer

How To Make drunken pimento cheese

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
  • Step 2
    Chill
  • Step 3
    Serve on bread as sandwiches or on crackers.
