Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry white wine
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 - cloves minced fresh garlic
  • 4 ounces dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 - drops hot sauce

How To Make dijon mustard

  • Step 1
    Combine wine, onion and garlic.
  • Step 2
    Heat to boiling.
  • Step 3
    Lower heat and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Pour mixture into bowl and cool.
  • Step 5
    Strain wine mixture into dry mustard in a small saucepan, beating until very smooth.
  • Step 6
    Add remaining ingredients.
  • Step 7
    Heat slowly, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  • Step 8
    Cool and pour into a non-metal container and cover.
  • Step 9
    Chill at least 2 days to blend flavors.
