2 c
dry white wine
1 c
chopped onion
cloves minced fresh garlic
4 oz
dry mustard
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
2 tsp
drops hot sauce

How to Make Dijon Mustard


  • 1Combine wine, onion and garlic.
  • 2Heat to boiling.
  • 3Lower heat and simmer 5 minutes.
  • 4Pour mixture into bowl and cool.
  • 5Strain wine mixture into dry mustard in a small saucepan, beating until very smooth.
  • 6Add remaining ingredients.
  • 7Heat slowly, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  • 8Cool and pour into a non-metal container and cover.
  • 9Chill at least 2 days to blend flavors.
