1 c
brown sugar
1 c
apple cider
lemon, juiced
1 Tbsp

How to Make Crock Pot Apple Butter


  • 1Cut blemishes off apples and cut into chunks to fill 3 1/2 quart crockpot.
  • 2Add sugar, cider and lemon juice.
  • 3Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Stir.
  • 4Add cinnamon and cook another 10 hours.
  • 5Stir occasionally until brown.
  • 6Run through food mill or any strainer to strain out seeds and skins.
  • 7To thicken, if not thick enough, return to slow cooker and cook on high uncovered until desired consistency.
