How to Make Crock Pot Apple Butter
- 1Cut blemishes off apples and cut into chunks to fill 3 1/2 quart crockpot.
- 2Add sugar, cider and lemon juice.
- 3Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Stir.
- 4Add cinnamon and cook another 10 hours.
- 5Stir occasionally until brown.
- 6Run through food mill or any strainer to strain out seeds and skins.
- 7To thicken, if not thick enough, return to slow cooker and cook on high uncovered until desired consistency.
