My hubby heard this recipe on the radio, wanted me to make and I put it off because I thought,yuck it can't be good. He was insistant, so I made it. I am so glad I did. It is sooooo good, especially with hot homemade rolls !!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound parkay stick mgarine
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk

How To Make country butter, (generic)

  • Step 1
    Have Parkay sticks at room temperature, cut into small pieces. Put margarine into mixer or can use hand mixer.
  • Step 2
    Add cooking oil and buttermilk. Mix until very, very smooth. Texture is very creamy and light in color.
  • Step 3
    Place in containers, extra can be frozen. when needed it can be used at once. I am a country girl and my Mom made country butter for us. This recipe is a very close second to country butter
