This is a very good recipe for Carmel Icing, I found it in a Betty Crocker cook book. It is very good on a Fresh Apple Cake,or Kentucky Jam Cake.

How to Make Carmel Icing Recipe

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in pan, stir in brown sugar, heat to boiling stirring constanly.
  2. Boil and stir over low heat 2 minutes.
  3. Syir in milk,heat to boiling,remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.
  4. Gradually stir in sugar. Place pan in ice or cold water;Until of spreading consistency. If frosting becomes stiff, heat slighty.
