  • 5 c
    fresh blueberries
  • 2 1/4 c
  • 2 tsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cloves

How to Make Blueberry Preserves


  1. in a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. bring to a boil, cook for 15-18 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently.
  2. remove from heat, skim off foam. ladle hot mixture into hot sterilized half pint jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space .
  3. remove air bubbles, wipe rims and adjust lids. process 5 minutes in a boiling water canner.
