Bacon-Maple Butter



Three ingredients. Three. Lovely. Ingredients. Uses: scones, corn on the cob, steamed vegetables, baked potato, etc. DO NOT substitute margarine for butter! C/O Kerrygold

  • 4 slice
  • 4 oz
    irish butter (salted specified but there's enough salt in the bacon)
  • 1 tsp
    maple syrup, to taste (no fake maple syrup allowed!)

How to Make Bacon-Maple Butter


  1. Cook bacon until crisp; drain on a plate lined with paper towel. When cool enough to handle, crumble the bacon into very small pieces.
  2. Use a fork to lightly mash the butter; stir in the bacon pieces and maple syrup. Place on a piece of plastic wrap and roll to form into a log. Twist the ends of the wrap to secure and refrigerate until the butter holds its shape. To serve, cut into pats.
