Three ingredients. Three. Lovely. Ingredients. Uses: scones, corn on the cob, steamed vegetables, baked potato, etc. DO NOT substitute margarine for butter! C/O Kerrygold

prep time 5 Min
cook time 10 Min
method Stove Top
yield Yield: about 3/4 cup

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 ounces irish butter (salted specified but there's enough salt in the bacon)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup, to taste (no fake maple syrup allowed!)

How To Make bacon-maple butter

  • Step 1
Cook bacon until crisp; drain on a plate lined with paper towel. When cool enough to handle, crumble the bacon into very small pieces.
  • Step 2
Use a fork to lightly mash the butter; stir in the bacon pieces and maple syrup. Place on a piece of plastic wrap and roll to form into a log. Twist the ends of the wrap to secure and refrigerate until the butter holds its shape. To serve, cut into pats.
