Addicting Garlic and Pepper Mayonnaise

I had a hankering for mayonnaise....and it is not something I keep in the house, as we do not eat it often. This was simple to make and very tasty!

2 Tbsp
fresh lemon juice
1 large
egg, cold, fresh and of the highest quality
1/2 tsp
dry mustard
1 pinch
cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp
coarse ground black pepper
2 pinch
1 c
olive oil, extra virgin
6 clove
garlic, peeled and stem end cut off


1Place lemon juice, egg, dry mustard, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt in a blender.
2Turn the blender on high and mix until creamy. Add the garlic, pulse several times and then slowly pour in the olive oil, in a steady stream.
Let blend until the mixture is thick and yellow.
3Serve immediately, or let it sit for 20-30 minutes in the fridge. The longer it sits, the stronger the flavors. Discard any left overs not used with in 24 hours.
