vindaloo & biriyani spice mix
I made up this spice mix to make it quicker when making my Lamb Vindaloo recipe, that has so many ingredients to measure. I used it to make my recent Cauliflower Rice Biriyani recipe, and it’s very handy for that as well.

Ingredients
- 5 tablespoons cumin, ground
- 5 tablespoons turmeric, ground
- 1 tablespoon +2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoons +1 tsp salt
How To Make vindaloo & biriyani spice mix

Step 1This is fairly mild (unless you are not use to spice.) Feel free to increase the cayenne, up to double the amount, as a general guide.

Step 2Fits well in a 1 cup canning jar. Use this ratio for calculating other amounts: 1.5 cumin 1.5 turmeric .5-1 cayenne 1 salt

Step 3I use 1 tbsp. spice mix per 2 lbs. of cauliflower rice, in my cauliflower rice Biriyani recipe. I use 1.5 Tbsp in my Lamb Vindaloo recipe, in place of these individual spices that the recipe calls for.
