  • 4 c
    apple cider
  • 2 gal
    cold water
  • 4 Tbsp
    each fresh rosemary, sage and thyme leaves
  • 8 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 c
    kosher salt
  • 2 c
    brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp
    black peppercorns
  • 6
    bay leaves
  • ·
    peel of four large oranges

How to Make Turkey Brine


  1. Combine the brine ingredients together in a large pot. Heat on stove until sugar and salt are dissolved. Let cool.
  2. Pour the brine over the turkey and refrigerate and let brine for 24 hours.
  3. Remove turkey from brine and discard the brine. Rinse turkey in sink and roast.
