chinese five spice mix
Your not limited to just Chinese dishes. You can use it just like any other spice mix and use it to marinate meat. poultry and fish etc. It's also pretty darn good in chocolate cake batter as well.

- 5 teaspoons sichuan pepper (huajiao)
- 5 teaspoons star anise
- 6 teaspoons fennel seeds
- 2 1/2 teaspoons cloves
- 2 1/2 teaspoons cassia (rougui) or cinnamon
How To Make chinese five spice mix

Step 1You can either buy spices in powder form or if you prefer you can freshly grind them together yourself at home.

Step 2Mix together the spices and combine well. Store in an airtight container.
