garlic herb steak butter
A filet mignon or any good steak may be hard to improve upon, but a dab of this delicious compound butter will kick it up another notch. It's also good for making a unique garlic bread.

Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh garlic, pressed or very finely minced
- 1/2 tablespoon minced fresh chives
- 1/2 tablespoon finely minced shallot
- 1/2 tablespoon minced fresh flat leaf parsley
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
How To Make garlic herb steak butter

Step 1In a small bowl, mash butter until fluffy.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Step 3Shape into log or disk; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Step 4To store longer than 1 week, divide into 1 tablespoon size pieces; wrap each piece in wax paper; place in small freezer bag or container; freeze for up to 1 year.
