This is a colorful version of Tomatillo salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds tomatillos, fresh
  • 2 - fresno peppers
  • 1 - habanero pepper, fresh
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar, sugar substitute can be used, adjust amt accordingly
  • - **handful of cilantro
  • - **couple squirts of lime juic
  • - **salt to taste
  • - **water

How To Make golden tomatillo salsa

  • Step 1
    Remove husks and wash tomatillos. Cut in half and lay on baking sheet. Add fresno and habanero. Place garlic, skin on inside a small piece of foil and fold foil in half.
  • Step 2
    Roast veggies under a low broiler for 7-10 min or until nice and charred.
  • Step 3
    Allow to cool, remove skins from garlic, place veggies in food processor, add sugar, lime juice and cilantro. Puree, add a little water to thin out if desired. Add salt to taste.
