  • 1 1/2 lb
    tomatillos, fresh
  • 2
    fresno peppers
  • 1
    habanero pepper, fresh
  • 3 clove
  • 1/2 tsp
    sugar, sugar substitute can be used, adjust amt accordingly
  • ·
    **handful of cilantro
  • ·
    **couple squirts of lime juic
  • ·
    **salt to taste
  • ·

How to Make Golden Tomatillo Salsa


  1. Remove husks and wash tomatillos. Cut in half and lay on baking sheet. Add fresno and habanero. Place garlic, skin on inside a small piece of foil and fold foil in half.
  2. Roast veggies under a low broiler for 7-10 min or until nice and charred.
  3. Allow to cool, remove skins from garlic, place veggies in food processor, add sugar, lime juice and cilantro. Puree, add a little water to thin out if desired. Add salt to taste.
