Another from my collection of West Virginia hot dog sauce recipes. This one makes a small batch of hot dog sauce...hope ya like it.

Ingredients

1 pound 80/20 ground beef
1 medium onion
3 ounces tomato paste
18 ounces water
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust as needed)
1 teaspoon black pepper

How To Make west virginia hot dog sauce

Step 1

In a large pot add hamburger and enough water to cover meat. Work meat with hands to crumble. Cook over medium till meat is done.

Step 2

Add remaining ingredients and cook for an hour and a half, add more water if needed to thin. 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flake may be added durning the last half hour if you prefer a little heat...enjoy
