My mother found this recipe in a local newspaper clipping and decided to try it when we had a family gathering . We used it on fried shrimp, fried oyster and fried catfish. Everyone absolutely loved it and now it's used by everyone in our family and also dear friends. My mother recently died and I thought I would share her amazing recipe. We always doubled it....Refrigerate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hellman's mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sweet relish (drained)
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle (drained)
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons diced spanish olives, stuffed with pimento
  • NANNY'S TARTAR SAUCE

How To Make tartar sauce

  • Step 1
Blot sweet relish, pickles and olives on paper towel after dicing. This prevents the sauce from being too juicy. Put all ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Chill and serve with favorite seafood. Recipe may be doubled and will serve 10-15.
