tartare sauce

The Man is a stickler for sauces with every meal. He goes through a huge amount of tartare sauce, apple sauce, onion relish etc... So making my own is a must.

Ingredients

  • 7 - fluid ounces of mayonaise
  • 3 tablespoons capers - drained & chopped
  • 3 tablespoons small gherkins - drained & chopped
  • 3 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
  • - a squeeze of lemon juice
  • - freshly ground salt & pepper to season

How To Make tartare sauce

  • Step 1
    To chop the capers and gherkins I used the nut chopper attachment for my hand blender.
  • Step 2
    Mix everything together in a bowl and spoon into a sterilised jar. Cool in fridge for about an hour before first serving.
  • Step 3
    Will store for a couple of months in the fridge once the jar is opened.
