homemade pizza sauce
My husband has an onion intolerance, so I had wanted to make pizza that he could have also. I had found a recipe on the internet, made some tweaks and he loves this! Our two teenage boys like it much better than jarred sauce, too!

Makes about 3 cups or enough for 2 reg. pizzas
Ingredients
- 28oz. cans crushed tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh oregano (or 1 tsp. dried)
- pinch red pepper flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
How To Make homemade pizza sauce

Step 1Combine all ingredients in saucepan.

Step 2Heat on stove top on medium heat.

Step 3Let simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 4If not using right away, cool down and store in airtight container in the refrigerator, up to 1 week.
