This is a great all-purpose barbecue sauce that we have used for years. The cookbook says "For beef, pork, lamb, veal, chicken, duck, rabbit, liver, kidneys, bologna roll, frankfurters, meat loaf, hash, potatoes, corn, carrots, cabbage, peppers, Lima and green beans, and onions" but we usually use it for chicken and pork.

  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 3 Tbsp
    tarragon vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    steak sauce (or worcestershire sauce)
  • 1/4 tsp
    marjoram (ground)
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano (ground)
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme (ground)
  • dash(es)
    garlic salt (i usually use garlic powder instead)

How to Make Herb Barbecue Sauce


  1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Enjoy!
  3. Store in glass jar in fridge for nearly forever; if it isn't moldy, it's still good. If it looks a little like gelatin, heat in microwave or saucepan just a bit.
