Recipe Hint: We use this versatile sauce on burritos, tacos, tostadas, etc. It keeps well in the refrigerator and reheats well over low heat.

Ingredients

  • 1 -8 ounce tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make enchilada sauce

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan until well mixed.
  • Step 2
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils and thickens.
